The warranty of all products that is announced at the time of sale is basically the warranty provided by the manufacturer. That is, the warranty service of the sold products is basically carried out by the parent company of the specific brand. Each brand is independent in terms of the difference in warranty service and their different terms and conditions are mentioned on their own official website. In this case, the supporting organization Rosen Mart is working as a medium to implement the warranty service terms and conditions of the parent brand companies.
The warranty terms and conditions set by the manufacturer are as follows:
- Rosen Mart follows the international, domestic and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) warranty policies for each product.
- Warranty is a service that is an agreement between the manufacturer or importer and the buyer. Through this agreement, the buyer assumes the responsibility of repairing or replacing the product sold to the manufacturer or importer. Rosen Mart provides comprehensive support to the buyer to get warranty service for the purchased product and Rosen Mart acts as an intermediary between the buyer and the manufacturer or importer.
- The warranty of most of the products imported by Rosen Mart is made valid within a short period of time and some products are changed as soon as complaints are received.
- Warranty is not provided on all the products sold. Warranty is effective only for those products for which the original company has declared a warranty period.
- The warranty is 1-3 years depending on the brand and model of the laptop. But the warranty of all laptop batteries and adapters is only 1 year.
- If a product under warranty is found to be defective after sale, the defect will be repaired and replaced immediately depending on the type of product.
- If the product of a specific model is not available for replacement, Rosen Mart may replace it with an equivalent product of another brand available in its own stock.
- If the product of a specific model is not available for repair and replacement, the same or equivalent product may be replaced with a better product of that model through depreciation and price adjustment.
- If the product of a specific model is not available for repair or replacement with Rosen Mart, the price may be refunded through sales depreciation adjustment.
- Rosen Mart will not be responsible for any software or data that is damaged or lost during the use of the product or during Rosen Mart’s service. It is to be noted that in this case, the responsibility for data recovery or software reinstallation will not fall on Rosen Mart.
- After taking a specific model of product under warranty, the time for returning the product after completing the service work is not fixed, this time can be from 5-7 days to a maximum of 35-40 days or more; because in most cases, the parts required for repair do not have sufficient buffer stock in the country, so they have to be specially imported, which takes a lot of time.
- It is to be informed to the general public that most warranty products are not repaired, the parts that are damaged are replaced, but in most cases they are imported from abroad.
- The computer setup and operating system that are customized at the time of sale are not covered by the warranty.
- Lifetime warranty basically means providing warranty service for the product until the time it is considered a common product in the market. If the product is a common product in the market under the ‘lifetime’ warranty of a product, the buyer will receive warranty service. If a product is considered EOL (End of Life) in the market, that is, if the product becomes obsolete, it will no longer be covered by the warranty. When a new version of the product is released in the market, it will not be covered by the warranty service with the old version. It is to be noted that in the case of a lifetime warranty, the customer or buyer can enjoy this service for a maximum of 2 (two) years as per the policy of BCA.
- Rosen Mart can charge a price for any service outside the scope of the warranty, which will be effective subject to the buyer’s consent.
- In the case of service warranty, if any parts need to be changed or added, the buyer will generally collect it at his own risk or, with the buyer’s consent, can collect it through Rosen Mart subject to advance payment.
- If any problem is detected in the product or a new problem arises during the free software or hardware tuning provided by Rosen Mart during or after the specified warranty period, Rosen Mart will not be responsible for it.
- For a warranty claim due to dead pixels of the monitor, a minimum of 3 or more dead pixels must be visible.
- It is mandatory for the buyer to bring the product box with them when claiming the product’s warranty.
Cases where the warranty will not be valid or may be subject to conditions
- Any defect that occurs due to careless use such as getting wet in water, breaking, burning, being injured, deep scratches, etc. will not be covered by the warranty.
- If the serial or serial sticker of a product is partially or completely erased, lifted or damaged for any reason, then the product will no longer be covered by the warranty.
- If there is fungus or rust and any deep wounds or scratches on the motherboard, graphics card and RAM, the motherboard graphics card or RAM will not be covered by the warranty.
- In the case of motherboard and processor, if one or more pins are found to be completely or partially broken, bent or deformed, the product will not be covered by the warranty.
- Since Rosen Mart. does not apply any kind of password or security code during the delivery of laptops, desktops or any products, the buyer will have to bear the full responsibility for the BIOS password on the laptop, desktop or any other device. It will not be covered by the warranty.
- If you delete the Apple Mac Book’s own operating system, the product will not be covered by the warranty.
- Parts such as printer cartridges, toner, head, roller, drum, element cover, maintenance box, etc. are not covered by the warranty.
- In the case of the printer warranty, using ink, ink cartridges or toner cartridges other than the ink, ink cartridges or toner cartridges specified by the manufacturer will not be covered by the warranty.
- In the case of a specific model of combo (pair) keyboard-mouse (which keyboard-mouse are sold together as a bundle), if any of the keyboard or mouse is damaged, the entire combo (pair) set (accessories) must be presented for the warranty. Presentation of only the keyboard or mouse separately will not be accepted for the warranty.
- Printers, scanners, routers, switches, access points, TV cards, etc. and power adapters of similar products are not covered under the warranty.
- If more than 2 months have passed in the warranty or service department after the warranty of a specific product has been provided, the company will not be responsible for that product.
- If the warranty receipt of a specific product is lost, the product must be accepted subject to providing the purchase receipt and appropriate proof.
